Choir (Unscripted)

Producing Partners: Imagine Entertainment and Blumhouse Television

In the vein of CHEER and LAST CHANCE U, CHOIR follows devoted choir director, Anthony White and his 110 plus Detroit Youth Choir as they train and audition to make the final cut for the DYC's historic 25th anniversary concert. The kids hail from all over metropolitan Detroit, and often from its toughest neighborhoods. For many, the choir has been their only means of stability, family, and hope. Featuring Mr. White and a cast of young choir members, parents, and coaches, each episode explores the challenges and the inspiring stories of these kids, literally and figuratively, finding their voices.

Choir (Scripted)

CHOIR follows an unorthodox inner-city choir director in Detroit who is determined to find success by changing the lives of those in his community—one kid, one struggle, one song at a time. In the vein of Friday Night Lights and Fame, but infused with a hip hop/ gospel beat, this scripted one-hour drama series is inspired by the story of the Detroit Youth Choir, the AGT sensation that swept the country. - - -- - - - - - -
